By the afternoon, you'll go from feeling intimidated by your machine to sewing your own custom tote bag!

• Troubleshooting Tension & Tools: Demystify thread types, select the perfect needle for any fabric, and learn how to adjust tension to fix bad stitches instantly.
• The Fabric Secret (Grainlines): Learn what grainlines are and why they are the secret to keeping your projects from twisting or warping out of shape.
• Essential Stitching & Finishing: Master straight lines, curves, circles, backstitching, and topstitching. Plus, get hands-on with overlockers to professionally finish open and closed seams.

Your First Project: The Grab-and-Go Tote Bag

Put your brand-new skills to work immediately! Using a pre-cut fabric kit, you will sew and finish your very own basic tote bag to take home and show off to family and friends.
