Overview
This two-day intensive course is designed for technical designers and garment technicians looking to integrate 3D workflows into their development process using CLO3D. The course focuses on practical, production-ready applications of CLO3D, bridging the gap between digital prototyping and traditional technical design deliverables.
Participants will learn how to use CLO3D as a core tool for building tech packs, validating early digital fittings, and preparing patterns for production.
Across two structured classes, the course moves from foundational tools for technical documentation through to grading, fittings, and production outputs. Participants are equipped with 3D, technical design tools best suited for small businesses.
What you will learn
Participants will advance their skills across several key areas of digital fashion and 3D garment construction.
By the end of this intensive, you will be able to:
- Produce technical visuals including 3D snapshots, turntables and 2D flats directly from CLO3D
- Build and customise avatar size ranges to reflect target customer profiles and support fit validation
- Extract and export accurate Points of Measure (POMs) for tech packs
- Apply grading rules within CLO3D and evaluate graded size sets using built-in review tools
- Conduct digital fit sessions, identifying and resolving fit issues prior to physical sampling
- Create and manage colourways efficiently using the colourway editor
- Prepare and export production-ready patterns
By the end of the workshop participants will have developed industry standard knowledge of CLO3D.
