In this beginners to intermediate level workshop you will create a folio of samplers that will be an invaluable reference library for ALL future sewing projects. ALL sewing machine & cloth needs provided, taught by industry and educational professionals.
Master the art of seam sewing.
You will be guided through techniques such as;
· Straight seams
· Directional sewing techniques
· Curved seams
· Cornered seams / including blunting the corner and joining an inward corner.
The sampler booklet will include variety of seam finishes for different fabrics and uses, also plain seams, curved seams - including princess line, and cornered seam techniques.
Types of seam finishes will include:
· Closed and overlocked
· Open and overlocked
· Open turned-and-stitched.
· Bias-bound.
· Hong Kong finish
· The French Seam
· The mock French Seam
· The flat-felled seam
· The self-bound seam
Directional Sewing Techniques:
Discover the significance of stitching in a specific direction to maintain fabric shape. Invaluable techniques for lightweight, loosely woven, or unstable fabrics and curved or angled edges.
We provide you with:
