Best suited to

This workshop is designed for those with some knowledge of sewing who want to learn how to make bodice patterns from a block, rather than relying on commercial patterns. It is particularly well suited to fashion students and those running small fashion businesses who want to develop their patternmaking skills at an industry level.

Overview

In this hands-on intensive participants will explore how to create bodice patterns using the bodice block, under the guidance of industry and education experts.

All bodice patterns originate from a block. Over three sessions participants will learn how to use that block to design a wide range of styles, achieve a great fit, and develop the confidence to create any design they can conceive.

The course is delivered at an industry level and is accessible to complete beginners.

Participants will develop practical skills across several key areas of bodice patternmaking.
