A DAY OF COMPREHENSIVE GUIDED SEWING EXPERIENCES FOR THE ADVANCED HOME SEWER, FASHION STUDENT AND INDUSTRY PROFESSIONAL

We supply the machines and the cloth and guide you through the day at your pace.

In this intermediate/ advanced level workshop you will create a folio of samplers including:
- THE 2 PIECE SHIRT COLLAR SAMPLER - The shirt collar frames the face and is what we see, especially of not made well! During the day we will show you which pieces to fuse, the types of fusing and the step by step techniques to making the perfectly finished 2 piece collar.
- THE SHIRT SLEEVE PLACKET & CUFF - The shirt sleeve placket, or "house" as it's called at times is a feat of engineering! Once understood the satisfaction is huge. Under very experienced instruction, you will work through the steps of assembling the placket and then attaching it to a cuff. A brilliant experience hard to come by. We will supply you with all the patterns and cut work for this project.
- THE PERFECT BACK YOKE- you may have heard it called the Burrito method. We take you through the tricks and which steps come first in making sure you have the perfect back toke and HOW it connects to the collar properly. Such an efficient use of time- very rewarding.
ALL sewing machine & cloth needs provided, taught by industry and educational professionals.
We provide you with:
- Cardboard sampler templates to take with you.
- Glossary of terms
- Handouts of advanced construction techniques
- Pattern making paper for class exercises.
- Pre-cut samples to use during class time.
- Long rulers to use during class time.
- Sewing samplers of all exercises to help navigate the step by step sewing process to use during class time.
Please bring with you, if you have them:
Thread clippers/ small scissors, pens, pencils, eraser, notebook, small ruler, pins
