🧷 Course Description
Join us for CORSETRY SEWING, creating corset, a three-part workshop dedicated to the art of making the corset. Over three weeks, you will explore different variations of corset making.

 Participants will construct a corset that will be pre-cut and guided through weekly, enabling you to craft beautiful and functional couture corset. Taught by esteemed couture artisan Nasia, renowned for her mastery in this field.

🎯 Course Outcomes
By the end of the course, participants will learn:

1.      Understand how to professionally construct a corset in linen and shape well with zip and button loops.  This method is traditionally used in evening wear and bridal wear.

2.Understand how a stand-alone corset using busks and metal boning, this one is based on historical lace up corsets.

3. Deep conversation and sampler showings involving mesh corset, which can be used as an undergarment or a softer internal support structure on a day or evening wear dress.

4.Finishing techniques that will be explored are:

·      Binding

·      Gross-grain ribbon

·      Internal waist bands

·      Cross stitch applications

·      Eyelets for lace up application

·      Grub loops

·      Embroidered hook and eye

·      Slipstitching

·      Hook and eye tape

·      Loops and buttons (with or without a zip)

• One pre-cut toile corest to construct
• Sewing equipment and machines 
• Tape measures and other incidentals are available if you do not have your own
• A supportive environment with expert guidance throughout each session.
