Participants should have some basic sewing knowledge, though prior patternmaking experience is not required.
Overview
In this hands-on workshop participants will learn to draft a fitted bodice block and sleeve from scratch, developing an understanding of the formulas and techniques used in professional patternmaking.
The day is structured across two sessions. In the morning, participants work through drafting the basic fitted bodice block and sleeve using industry-standard measurements and provided worksheet templates, building confidence through guided step-by-step instruction. In the afternoon, participants apply what they have learned to draft a personalised bodice and sleeve block using their own measurements, with support provided throughout.
By the end of the day participants will leave with both a standard block and a personalised block to work from.
