BECOME A MASTER OF THE JACKET

      WE TAKE YOU THROUGH THE STEPS TO DRAFT  A FULLY LINED                                                                 TAILORED JACKET.

In this course you will learn:

• How to draft tailored collar and lapels- explore multiple options, draft the entire jacket pattern using amazing jkt blocks available in sizes 6-22/ XS-2XL
  
• Identify & work with the break line, the jet pocket and flap, the back vent, facings and internal pockets 
• Construct a proper tailored lining using industry techniques.
• The two-piece sleeve; the shoulder pad, easing, sleeve heading.
• Fusing, how to use it, what type, where and how to apply it to the garment

All these techniques will be discovered in the process of drafting & making the jacket pattern in class using industry standard blocks, select the size you wish to work with.  All of these techniques are shown as pattern exercises, existing sewing samplers and calico toiles to fully demonstrate the processes.

We provide you with:

• The tailored jacket block- MALE, FEMALE, GENDER NEUTRAL

• Pattern making paper & rulers  for all class exercise                                          Fully constructed jacket samples to show the process and journey, including small samplers to illustrate pattern making into sewing in areas such as jet pkts, shoulder pads and sleeve heading, back vents and lining.

Please bring with you:

• pens, pencils, masking tape, small rulers, note paper, tape measure, pins, paper scissors
